Jim Ross: Welcome, folks, to NWO Perspectives. I'm good ol' JR here with yet another NWO superstar, you all know him as Maxx Payne. Maxx Payne, welcome to the show, I have a series of questions lined up for you to answer as best as possible. First off, what was your motivation and inspiration to become a professional wrestler here in the Net World Order?
Maxx Payne: For years, I had watched the Net World Order grow to its current status. Back while in the World Wrestling Association, I watched three men: Shane Douglas, Jeff Jarrett, and The Sandman take control of the company. After this coalition collapsed, the company fell into a downward spiral. At this point, I knew that it was time for me to take advantage. Starting out with a win against The Rock, I proved to fans and wrestlers alike that I am a true force in the Net World Order.
Jim Ross: Who would you consider your role model so far in you career, and in life?
Maxx Payne: Those are two questions in itself. In wrestling, my role model has, and always will be the legendary "Killer" Kowalski. At 6'7" and almost 300 pounds, and was a wrescking machine known as the most vicious in his time. Throughout my career as Maxx Payne, I have made it a personal goal to exceed the amount of fear that he produced into people.
As far as a role model in life, I have none. I do things my way, and refuse to follow in the footsteps of someone else's past.
Jim Ross: Now I would like to name off a few of the Net World Order's active superstars, and you respond by telling me what you feel about each of them. First off, the NWO Bad Boy himself, The Baltimore Assassin.
Maxx Payne: You like to play games with people, don't you Ross? I think that you know how I feel about The Baltimore Assassin. We are talking about a man who took away my United States Title just less than two weeks after I defeated Azrael for it. We are talking about a man that left the Net World Order just when he realized that he had a rematch scheduled against me. We are talking about a man who prepares his match with his second job as a porn star. This is a man who calls me ignorant for the outcome of my rematch against him, ignoring the fact that I had beaten him nearly to death. Ross, I can tell you one thing about The Baltimore Assassin, and that is this: I hope that he wins the World Title. I hope that The Baltimore Assassin wins the World Title so that I can extract my utmost revenge against him for taking my United States Title the first time around.
Jim Ross: Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
Maxx Payne: Hart is arguably one of the most talented men to have ever joined the world of wrestling. We have had two matches against each other, and each time we took one another to the limit. I know that as a team along with Chris Jericho, we will be the most unstoppable force that the Net World Order has ever seen.
Jim Ross: The World Champion, Hollywood Hogan.
Maxx Payne. Hollywood Hogan. Hulk Hogan. Hollywood "Hulk" Hogan. It does not matter how many times he has to change his name, because he is already far beyond his days of ever being a true champion. Though he may have reached legendary status from the eighties up until the nineties, he is far past his peak of talent. What he needs to do is realize that he is not the ultimate power that he once was, and to retire once and for all. Bret Hart did the right thing by seperating himself from Hogan, because frankly the World Champion was holding Bret Hart's talents back.
Jim Ross: Recently, the world witnessed you form a stable that many know as "The Hitmen", in which you aligned yourself with Bret Hart and Chris Jericho. Maybe you could supply a few reasons as to why those actions of yours came into play?
Maxx Payne: The formation of the Hitmen was merely in the best interests of Hart, Jericho, and myself. Like I have said already, Hart has been held back too long to not be noticed anymore. With this new group arising, Hart will be a known name in the Net World Order soon enough. Chris Jericho is already a legend in the NWO, and merely wants the fans to remember that.
As for me, I had waited one entire month to get my rematch against The Superstar. Despite all of my actions to be heard, it was obviously not working. Invision this, Ross. Imagine yourself in a crowded room with a gun in your hand. One by one, you shoot down someone from the crowd, just so that you can get by. One by one, another person falls in sacrifice to your ultimate purpose. Despite the fact that I has tearing down the Net World Order roster one by one, I was still not being heard. Now with the Hitmen on my side, the Net World Order had no choice but to listen to my demands, which is why I am the United States Champion right now.
Jim Ross: Now Maxx, could you give us a little insight on what you intend to do in the near future with the NWO, and your career? Goals, dreams, etc.
Maxx Payne: Well, if we had this interview a week ago, I would have told you that my revenge against The Superstar is my main goal. However, now that the Net World Order is rid of that hazard, a new goal is difficult to define. I can definately assure you, though, that I do not plan on dropping this United States Title anytime soon. No, instead I plan on holding onto this thing with a death grip. As for long term plans, however, I will be the World Heavyweight Champion. Once I feel the need to be the champion, then there will be nothing in my way to stop me from that.
Jim Ross: Lastly before we end this, do you have any last comments for the fans?
Maxx Payne: No. I do, though, have a comment for the Net World Order superstars. And that it is this, if you have any thoughts on getting in my way at all, then forget it. If you do not heed this warning, then I will have no choice but to inflict as much punishment as possible to get you out of the way. Once I am finished with this company, you can be sure that each and every member will feel the pain.
Jim Ross: There you have it folks, yet another NWO Perspectives concluded here with Maxx Payne. Tune in next Wednesday when I bring you another NWO Perspectives with another NWO superstar. Until next time, this is Good Ol' JR, signing off.
